Students interested in being considered for the St. Charles County CAPS program for the 2024-2025 school year must complete an online application.
Interested students should review their high school credits with their counselor to ensure participation in the SCC CAPS program, based on high school credits, is doable. In addition to the SCC CAPS application, the SCC CAPS selection committee will also review the attendance, grades, and discipline of each applicant. Students applying must also provide ample information (depth & details) in their responses to the open-ended questions. 2023 – 2024 St. Charles County CAPS Shadow Days:
Shadow days for CAPS provide a firsthand experience of the learning environment, allowing prospective students to meet current CAPS associates and instructors, understand schedules, explore learning experiences, and ease transition anxiety. These visits aid students in making informed choices about the CAPS program, boosting their confidence and ensuring they feel comfortable with their educational decisions. Deadline to apply for the 2024- 2025 school year:
Early application deadline is Friday, January 26th, 2024. However, we are still accepting applications throughout the summer.
If you do not have access to complete the online application, see your counselor to complete a paper application.

There will be an SCC CAPS Accepted Student/Parent Night on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at St. Charles West High for students who have been accepted as a CAPS Associate for the 2024-2025 school year. Acceptance letters will go out in early April 2024.
